Cheeni Kum

OK and time pass movie. The movie is about an affair between 64 years old man and 34 years old woman. Some people will compare this movie to Nishabd, since Amitabh Bachchan is acting in both movies. Nishabd was more like romance drama, and Cheeni Kum is a romantic drama comedy.

Transformers

How can boys born in 70’s or 80’s forget to watch this ultimate action movie (made particularly for boys)!?! Off course, I had to watch it. The movie had relatively thin and uninspiring story, but God how good action scenes. The director, Michael Bay, is known for giving A class action movies and continues in the same path with this action comedy movie.

Sønner

OK and time pass Norwegian movie. I didn’t liked it so much despite it has got very good ratings.

The Train

The Train had such wonderful and beautiful songs that they themselves should get a rating of 6 out of 6. I have listened to them in multiple weeks now since they came.

The movie, however, was disastrous. The songs were also screwed up in the movie, and the music videos weren’t good at all. Woh Ajnabee was good, but the other songs had terrible videos. The movie is copied from the American flick Derailed, so if you have watched the original movie, you know what is going to happen.

Jhoom Barabar Jhoom

Jhoom Barabar Jhoom is a comedy love story with musical theatre effects. The movie was funny, but I didn’t understand what Amitabh Bachchan was doing in the movie in the role like a joker..!?

Zodiac

Zodiac is a serial killer kind of thriller made by David Fincher who has also made Fight Club and Seven. There has been made numerous serial killer movies with varying quality. Still, David Fincher has succeeded to make an interesting movie which is based on true incidents. I liked the story telling style which made the movie interesting almost over all. There has also been used situation based comedy, which works well.

Salaam-e-Ishq

This movie is to some extent over hyped. Despite its huge cast, it is too lengthy and several of the love stories are boring. However, the end was emotional and nice (as in other romantic movies).

Bheja Fry

Bheja Fry is a funny movie with a new topic. The movie is about a man who invites an idiot every Friday to his home at dinner to make fun of them. The idiot doesn’t even know that he’s being made fun of. One day, he meet an idiot which and the meeting turns out to be different compared to the “traditional” dinners…

Shooter

Shooter is an interesting action thriller. Sometimes it reminds you of the Bourne-movies, and it has some routine based elements as in American action movies. Still it is good entertainment.

Reprise

Reprise is an all right cool Norwegian movie. The story, script and dialogues were cool. The movie can be put into the category of drama comedy.

Shootout At Lokhandwala

Shootout At Lokhandwala is loaded with action, and typically a movie for guys. Therefore, do not expect so much anything extraordinary in this genre in the movie. Most of the action is inspired by previous underworld action movies and some Hollywood action movies. The background score was cool.

Tusshar Kapoor seemed promising in this new negative role when I watched the trailers, but that was disappointing. He still has some shades of “chocolate boy” image in the movie. Vivek Oberoi has repeated his negative role from Company, which works well.

Apoorva Lakhia, the director, knows how to make cool-factor movies, which he also proved by his previous movie Ek Ajnabee. (We are off course disregarding the flopping Mumbai Se Aya Mera Dost).

The climax was good executed and the villains showed two-shaded characters, both their positive sides and negative. Sometimes, I was about to feel mercy in them. In the end, I am wondering why the main heroes didn’t wear bullet proof jackets during climax?! I think it was a fault in the movie, which doesn’t need further comments since the overall impression of the movie was good.

Fool N Final

Fool N Final is an action comedy, which actually is copied/inspired by the English movie Snatch. Snatch is among my favourite movies, and it was disappointing to watch this “copy”. Firoz Nadiadwala, who is the producer, tries to make his movies cool. Sometimes it works and sometimes not, and this time he uses big vehicles (Hummers, which he actually also has used in the precious movies). What is this? Suddenly, Vivek Oberoi’s character is singing “Ek khalsa” in the middle of the desert and behind him the Hummers running around and around!!??! I think the use of such things is unnecessary and boring.

Interestingly, Sunny Deol’s character was among the funniest. Especially the first half part where he is kicking people in desi style with funny background score.

All in all, it is a time pass movie and somehow bongi.

Seven

Seven is a classical serial killer thriller, which is ranked among top 100 movies (IMDB). This is the second time I watched it and the experience wasn’t the same it was the first time I saw it. The plot is still interesting, but I observed some faults this time.
