Interesting, fascinating and complicated movie from the director of The Dark Knight, The Prestige and Batman Begins (Christopher Nolan). This movie has received good critics almost all over with good reasons, and therefore I had huge expectations before watching it. As mentioned, the movie is fascinating and complicated with good execution and great visuals, and it’s the complication which has reduced the rating of it. Not everything is understandable when you watch it for the first time, but it can happen that you’ll understand more when you watch it second time and then also improve its rating.
The story deals “in a world where technology exists to enter the human mind through dream invasion, a highly skilled thief is given a final chance at redemption which involves executing his toughest job till date”.

Frustrerte Fruer / Desperate Housewives – Season 5
Basically good series, but I didn’t found this season that interesting as the previous seasons. Every season shows you more in depth of the characters in addition to the evolving story line, and in this season the makers are close to the limit of how much in depth you can show the characters before the stuff simply gets boring. Perhaps it’s time to close down the show or find new script writers?

Sex and the city – Sex og singelliv
Brain dead entertainment. 40 years old women who behave like chicks, so this concept is definitely not meant for me. However, the execution of the movie in terms of production values was good, so this improves the rating. Without this, the movie has been disastrous boring.

Time pass comedy with some hilarious moments. Priyadarshan is the director, and he tend to be too repetitive and this movie confirms it again.

My name is Khan
The latest adventure from Karan Johar, Shahrukh Khan (SRK) and Kajol. SRK plays a role of autism, which is one of his better performances. The story deals around 9/11 attacks and its effects on desis in USA. I think the movie is too lengthy, and the climax is too filmy and larger-than-life. I’ve expected something different from this kind of movie with such serious topics. Several portions of the movie are simply gripping which tells us that the movie is well made with a good script. But the length of the movie drags it somehow down.

The Kite Runner
Nice and touching movie, which is based on the novel with same title. I actually liked the movie better than the novel, probably because the movie didn’t focus too much on the political side of the story.

Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Sex – But Were Afraid To Ask
A colleague of mine borrowed me this movie suddenly, and I thought why not to watch it. The movie is all right with Woody Allen from 1970’s about The particular topic which is indicated in the title of the movie. The movie consists of several funny short movies about different prejudices within the overall topic.

Tomme Tønner
All right Norwegian gangster action comedy movie, made by Leon Bashir who also wrote the script for Izzat. There aren’t that many new things in this movie, and several concepts seems inspired from American gangster action comedies.
Some of the actors don’t have that much acting experience, which also can be seen by their performances in the movie. On the other hand, there are several other “veterans” which both give the movie star value and proper watching experience.

Prison Break 4 – The Final Season
As the title indicates, this is the fourth and final season of Prison Break. After the phenomenal 2nd season, and very well 3rd season, I had high expectations for this season which weren’t fulfilled. The season is full of twists and things happen, but the story makers have put too much in this season. In addition, in one moment, people are enemies, and in the next moment, the same people are partners and friends. Such kind of rapid moves gives the show an unrealistic approach, which in turn is irritating. It had a very touchy ending (last 5-10 minutes), but it isn’t enough for the overall season to get a better rating. On the other hand, the ending inspired to watch the final movie of this series; Prison Break - The Final Break.

Chance Pe Dance
All right musical movie about a guy who struggles to get launched in a Bollywood movie. Actually, the trailers were funnier than the movie itself. The movie is loosely based on Shahid Kapoor’s experiences when he tried to enter Bollywood. The movie is made by Ken Ghosh, who has made better movies earlier (Ishq Vishk and Fida).Rating: 4/3 of 6

Ishqiya
All right movie, produced by Vishal Bharadwaj (i.e. Maqbool and Kaminey. Two street smart guys (Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi) come to Krishna (Vidya Balan) to overnight. But Krishna turns out to be a mysterious woman…The movie has elements from different genre, i.e. humor, drama, action etc. It has its particular which is common for Bharadwaj movies. Sometimes it works, sometimes not, and this time, I think the result is just average.

Mein Ek Din Laut Kay Aaoon Ga
Pakistani movie from 2007 with Humayun Saeed.- Story: good actually, but not so innovative if we’ve seen Karz earlier. The story seems to has been inspired by Karz actually.
- Script: horrible! Lots of illogical things happen, which simply are irritating
- Execution: awfull. This can also been together with the comments for the script
- Acting: reasonable by some actors, but the heroines performance were disastrous

Dexter - Season 2
The plot in the second season of Dexter continues after where the story of first season ended. The first 3-4-5 episodes in this season aren’t that inspiring, but the show picked up afterwards.Rating: 4/5 of 6
Shutter Island
Interesting psychological thriller, made by Martin Scorsese with Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role. The film is based on the 2003 novel of the same name. The plot is following: In 1954, U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his partner, Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo), go to the Ashecliff Hospital for the criminally insane on Shutter Island. They are investigating the disappearance of Rachel Solando, and mysterious things starts happening to them and particularly Teddy Daniels…
For those of us who have seen various psychological thrillers earlier, the climax of this movie isn’t that surprising. Therefore, the climax wasn’t that unexpected. On the other hand, this kind of movies tends to have particular visuals, and Shutter Island also has nice visuals. In addition, the music is also powerful to give the proper experience of the atmosphere in the movie.

Rann
New movie from Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) who has made both extremely good and extremely boring movies. This time, the result is average. The movie deals around the role of media in politics and society, and it tells a story where media not only report news, but also make news….The movie is well edited, and cinematography is also top class as always in RGV movies. Still, something was missing to give THE experience which some of RGV’s movies gives sometimes. Probably the script? Or probably the trailers which revealed too much of the story, and there weren’t anything surprising in the movie and everything too predictable?

Pyaar Impossible
I started to watch this movie in the middle of it since it was playing at home, and it grabbed my interest. The story is about a computer geek (Uday Chopra) who is in love with Alisha (Priyanka Chopra), but can’t tell her. In addition, he has a conflict going on with Dino Morea’s character. As mentioned, the movie was interesting, but the climax and ending was too clichéful.

Vicky Cristina Barcelona
All right melo drama, almost just like Woody Allen’s earlier work. I probably had higher expectations for this movie, so I was a little bit disappoint with this one. Anyhow, for those who like Woody Allen movies, this is worth a watch.Rating: 4 of 6
