Khakee

I saw the trailer of this movie when I watched Run, and it inspired me to watch this great action movie again after some years now. It is a funny action thriller, and Ajay Devgan plays the role of the villain, which has suited him very well. The script and the execution were damn good. It had some dialogues which was very common, and almost taken from any other movie. But this didn’t screw up the movie watching experience.

Run

I have heard that this movie from 2002 was good. It’s from those days when Abhishek Bachchan wasn’t that popular, so therefore I hesitated to give it a chance until now. The movie started with a song, which is a typical Bollywood cliché which I thought we had left in the 90’s. In the same song and others, Abhishek was dancing with steps which his father tends to use!

Otherwise, the film was boring, and had a story full of clichés. It’s about a boy who falls in love with a girl at first sight, and the bhaiya of the girl is a typical con/ghunda who makes the life of the boy a nightmare! Aren’t we tired of such movies?!?

Dil Maange More!!!

All right good movie, which I watched for second time since it was going on TV. I noticed that the director is the same as for Aksar and Aggar.

Scoop

Here is yet another Woody Allen movie after Match Point. He continues in his almost traditional style, where the movie is full of dialogues. This can actually be somehow tiring to follow all what is being said.

I liked Woody Allen’s last movie, Match Point, and regretted that I didn’t gave it better rating. I actually still remember it for its style and concept. (Actually, this was on of the movies, which motivated me to start writing this blog, and it was the first movie which I rated here).

When you watch Scoop, you’ll find some similarities between these two movies. The plot has some similarities with its characters, and London is again shown in a beautiful way with its great photography.

And Scarlett Johansson is again looking fabulous in the movie.

Sunday

Sunday is an all right average comedy movie in my eyes. It had good camera moves, and some really hilarious scenes, so it’s obviously worth to watch.

Revolver

Here is a movie from Guy Ritchie, the husband of Madonna, who has earlier given us super cool movies like Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. After these two, he made a movie with his wife, Madonna, this was called Swept Away. This movie got horrible critics, but I still gave it a chance and I think it was an average all right good movie.

So after a while, Revolver came in 2005/2006, and I was really looking forward to watch this. But unfortunately, we live in a place called Norway which sometimes is regarded as a far corner of the world, where the movies doesn’t release after a while after the release in US. So Revolver came in 2007 I think, and finally I got the chance to watch it now, and liked it very well.

The movie is an action comedy, but will surprise you with its turn after the middle of the movie. I actually didn’t understand the ending completely, so I’ll have to watch it again. But still, it had a cool and smart concept which deserves good critics.

Den Innerste Sirkel / The Good Shepherd

Just an average drama thriller in my view. The movie tells a story from the creation of CIA and some of the elements during the cold war. The movie was too long, and I didn’t found the story that interesting.

By the way, the movie is directed by the multi award winner Robert De Niro.

Ocean's Thirteen

Cool and funny movie. It has cool music and nice photography which will help you to experience some of Las Vegas.

The first movie in this series had fast speed, and it was used fast editing, which let you know that something cool is happening, without knowing the details. Therefore, you have to watch the movie again, and the second time, you’ll like it much better than the first time. I think it’s the same thing with this movie as well. I didn’t get into the details of the story or what is going on. But still, I liked the humor in the movie, and I think I will like it more when I watch it next time.

Hombres

Mr. Brooks

Interesting serial killer thriller. The movie has some new dimensions for this genre, and thereby doesn’t falls into the trap of making just another serial killer movie with lots of clichés.
