Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Sex – But Were Afraid To Ask
A colleague of mine borrowed me this movie suddenly, and I thought why not to watch it. The movie is all right with Woody Allen from 1970’s about The particular topic which is indicated in the title of the movie. The movie consists of several funny short movies about different prejudices within the overall topic.

Tomme Tønner
All right Norwegian gangster action comedy movie, made by Leon Bashir who also wrote the script for Izzat. There aren’t that many new things in this movie, and several concepts seems inspired from American gangster action comedies.
Some of the actors don’t have that much acting experience, which also can be seen by their performances in the movie. On the other hand, there are several other “veterans” which both give the movie star value and proper watching experience.

Jernanger / Shooting the Sun / The Storm in My Heart
Jernanger is a boring movie about the tempered Eivind who isn't scared of anything- except love. The story evolves too slowly, and it could easily been a short movie of 15-20 minutes. The only lightening point is the performance by Bjørn Sundquist and his dialogues. I simply don’t understand why it got those good critics and awards and nominations. My friend and I watched it in around 30 minutes and then fast-forward the rest of it. And I don’t think we missed anything.

Gautam Malkani: Londonstaner / Londonstani
This is the debut book written by Gautam Malkani, who is journalist for the news paper The Financial Times. The novel deals around the Indian / Pakistani (also known as desi) circles in London, and particularly Hounslow. There are a great many descriptions and thoughts of the characters, but the story doesn’t evolve that fast. In addition, the language in the novel is mixture of English and Punjabi, which wonder me how non-Punjabi-speaking people can understand all of what is written there. I think this can be irritating.
The novel stake out some good points and let us question ourselves about the way we behave and think. In addition, also some interesting philosophies about desi social behavior and compared to economics theories.
The book is divided into 3 parts, and the last part is most interesting. The ending provides an interesting twist, but it wasn’t that interesting either that the novel is worth to be read all over again.

Entourage – Season 2
Entertaining series! Actually, this season was better than the previous, perhaps because now the characters are settled and in addition become more interesting.

24 – Redemption
This is a TV movie based on the popular TV series 24. It tells the story between season 6 and season 7, where the main character Jack Bauer is in Africa and the American authorities are looking for him. The movie isn’t that well executed which makes it uninspiring. Compared to the seasons which tend to have high tempo, this movie takes time to build up which was unexpected and created some boredom.
The DVD included a sneak preview of season 7, and this season seems promising.

Resident Evil: Extinction
This is simply a milk cow project from the makers of the movie franchise. The story evolves a little bit compared to previous movies, but the overall concept is to kill most died humans as possible, which the DVD cover tells too. The cool concept of the first movie where lasers cut humans into pieces is again repeated, which indicates lack of creativity in this movie.
Anyhow, the movie has some thrilling moments in the beginning.

Prison Break 4 – The Final Season
As the title indicates, this is the fourth and final season of Prison Break. After the phenomenal 2nd season, and very well 3rd season, I had high expectations for this season which weren’t fulfilled. The season is full of twists and things happen, but the story makers have put too much in this season. In addition, in one moment, people are enemies, and in the next moment, the same people are partners and friends. Such kind of rapid moves gives the show an unrealistic approach, which in turn is irritating.
It had a very touchy ending (last 5-10 minutes), but it isn’t enough for the overall season to get a better rating. On the other hand, the ending inspired to watch the final movie of this series; Prison Break - The Final Break.
