Black Friday is a movie which was ready for release for some years ago, but it was banned and couldn’t release. I cannot simply understand this fact. The movie is about the bomb blasts in Bombay in 1993, and the story is about how the police found the responsible for this action. In the end, the movie discovers a controversy. I regard movies with such controversies as propaganda movies, and for some years back, such propaganda movies were very common with Sunny Deol in the lead. However, despite their commonness in those days, mostly of these movies flopped very badly. Based in this, producers stopped making propaganda movies. I think that when this movie was made, the producers got nervous and hided this movie to release it later when they regarded the season of flopping propaganda movies was over. And now they are saying that the reason for the movie’s delay was ban from censor? Hard to believe.
OK, enough of reflection. I think that Black Friday was too slowly, and sometimes interesting. The only light point was one of my favourite actors, Kay Kay Menon, which actually hasn’t given his best performance in this movie. Maybe because he was new in movies when this movie was made?
