Dil Se..

The whole story began with that this movie was going on B4U. I watched some of it, while waiting for the song “Jiya Jale”. During watching it, it captured my interest, so I decided to watch the whole movie again after almost 10 years.

When this movie came back in 98, it was a great disaster both at the box office and in the critics. A number of critics focused on the characters and argued that their actions were illogical. I found the same characters very interesting, particularly if we take into consideration the unstable political environment they are living in.

Despite lots of people didn’t liked this movie, it had its fan as well. A know about a guy who bought this movie on VHS several times (3-4 I think), and watched it numerous times.

The movie is somehow artistic love story with typical bollywood elements. The love story is “old fashioned” where I boy falls in love with a girl at first sight without even knowing her, and the rest of the movie is about his search for her and the passion to get her.

The movie has great music (except Chhaiya Chhaiya which I never have liked) and background score. Some of the background score has music of the songs, and it urges you to beg; when on hell is the song coming? The composer, A.R. Rahman hasn’t made so many commercially good albums after this one.

By the way, did you know some interesting facts like that known names like Ram Gopal Varma and Shekhar Kapur were also producers of this film?

Shahrukh Khan has done a remarkable job in his field, namely playing a man who is desperately searching for love.
