Batman Begins

Interesting action thriller, which shows the establishment of the Batman. By this, it shows the background and reason for why a common guy becomes Batman, which is very good written and executed in the movie. It isn’t like a number of other superhero movies the last years, where the superhero is exposed to some poison or chemicals etc which gives them superpowers. Batman Begins rather have a much more human reasons for becoming batman, which is a great plus of this movie. In addition, the action scenes and the background score is also good.

The Sopranos – Season 2

Interesting TV-series about mafia. This season is also like previous season, and can be regarded as one long movie. It uses the advantage of the TV series format to explore the characters from different angles.

A number of mafia movies tend to have intense atmosphere, which isn’t the case for this series. Therefore, a number of drama scenes in the series seem to be somehow boring, but still time passing.

The Departed

All right good movie, but the experience wasn’t like last time. Therefore, I’m downgrading the movie from “6 of 6” to “5 of 6”.

The Bourne Ultimatum

Fantastic action thriller, just like the previous movies in this trilogy. And the background score is again terrific.

First time I commented it.

The Bourne Supremacy / Gåten Jason Bourne

A great thriller, which was sequel of The Bourne Identity. When I watched it for the first time, I thought the first movie was better. After watching it for 4th time this time, I understood much more of the movie and gave a wonderful experience. The movie is somehow complicated structured compared to previous one, which makes it slightly difficult to get into all the details of the story.

Pinjar

Excellent and touching drama movie related to the partition of Hindustan to India and Pakistan. It’s based on a novel with the same name.

De Taali

Boring romantic drama, which have some funny moments.

The Bourne Identity / Hvem var Jason Bourne

A great spy action thriller, which is among my favourite movies. This is the 5th or 6th time I’ve watched it, and the movie seem to be slightly less interesting. The reason is that I mostly know what’s going on. But still, Matt Damon and Chris Cooper have delivered superior performances and some of the thrilling moments are great to watch again.

21

Interesting movie about a MIT professor who collect a team of brilliant students to win on casino by using their superior skills in maths. The professor is played by Kevin Spacey, who has again delivered a good performance.

Clear and Present Danger / Overhengende fare

All right and time pass thriller. It’s from 1994, so it isn’t that interesting compared to today’s thrillers which are much more “fast forward”.

Love Story 2050

One of this year’s worst movies! It introduces Harman Baweja, who is son of a well-known filmmaker in Bollywood; Harry Baweja. Before watching the movie, I would say that Harman looked very similar to Hrithik Roshan in terms of his physics and dances. Afterwards, I can just confirm this, and his role in this movie is very similar to Hrithik Roshan in Yaadein and Mujhse Dosti Karoge. Most people will agree that the latter mentioned movies were disastrous and super boring, and the same situation is for Love Story 2050. Harman is simply looking silly in this movie.

When it comes to the movie in itself, it seems like that the whole movie is made around what Harman can offer of dancing and hyper personality/“bongapan”, and there hasn’t been any focus on to create a reasonable good script. There has been invested a lot of money in special effects in the movie, but you wouldn’t like to notice them because the boring movie overshadows the experience. Anu Malik’s music isn’t inspiring either.

Jaane Tu... ya jaane na

A funny and romantic high-school movie, with a creative script by Abbas Tyrewala who also is debuting as director with this movie. The movie is produced by the super star Amir Khan, and also introduces his nephew, Imran Khan, who has done a reasonable good job in the movie. The music by A.R. Rahman is also cool.

Young Adam

All right interesting Scottish thriller movie with Evan McGregor. It reminds of Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut (EWS) with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, but Young Adam is more a criminal thriller than EWS.

Alias - Season 4

An all right and average interesting show, but it tends to be too standardised and predictable. In most of the episodes, there’s a mission which is being solved, and it has a overall background story which also evolves but too slowly. The show didn’t needed more than two or three seasons actually, and is a typical example of how TV-companies milk successful concepts until they lost popularity.
