A great German movie from 1998/99 which has won multiple awards.The story is about Lola, who gets a phone from here boyfriend who has lost 100.000 Deutschmarks, and has to pay them in 20 minutes. Lola then has 20 minutes to bring this amount of money, which she doesn’t have.
The movie is very innovative, and a number of the technical tricks we see here have been used in other movies later. I think this is one of the first movies after the age of computer animation which combined both animations and real movie. In addition, the energetic music in the background helps a lot to enhance the atmosphere in the movie. (The energetic music in this case is techno/trance which is my favourite genre. I simply love this music in movies when it’s used properly).
